Informal work, unsigned dimensions. 68.5 x 96 cm (height x width) The term Informel describes a style or characterizes an artistic attitude that is opposed to classical forms and compositional principles. An important feature of this attitude is the principle of formlessness and the transition to the dissolution of form and the synergy of becoming a form.
It was named after Michel Tapié, who coined the term: art informel in 1951 in a Paris exhibition.
The offered work is signed and a modern informal work on thick paper from 1990.
Technically, a form was dissolved with color or no form was adhered to according to compositional principles. Furthermore, tools such as spatulas or "scratching" structure-forming elements were used. All under the premise of creating an act of metamorphosis through fleeting moves.
