Dimensions: 40 x 55 cm with frame (height x width) Sheet size: 31 x 40 cm sheet only (height x width) Esteban Fekete was born in 1924 in Cinkota near Budapest and initially experienced a sheltered childhood there and in Turkey. School, high school, civil engineering studies in Budapest were less fulfilling for him than sport.

In 1948 the political situation deteriorated to such an extent that he decided not to return from a trip with athletes to England or France, but emigrated to Buenos Aires instead.
The subject of posters was something very challenging for Fekete and influenced his artistic spectrum a lot. He transformed his successful paintings into finely crafted Fekete color woodcuts. His prints are estimated at around 750 editions.
