Small 4th (about 225x160 mm.). A beautiful color facsimile of the illuminated manuscript printed on Milani Fabriano parchment paper. Faithfully reproduces the original manuscript including the velvet flexible covers. 225 leaves plus publisher's colophon. Bound in full simulated vellum over beveled boards, all edges gilt, the spine with color facsimile highlighted in gilt, the covers reproducing full pages of the original in colors and gilt, both with brass frames. Housed in a full simulated vellum felt-lined box with a brass clasp formed of flowers and dolphins. Printed in 1025 copies A reproduction of the illuminated manuscript owned by Count Paolo Gerli of Villa Gaeta, executed in the early 1500s by artists of the Roman school.
