
Percussion revolver manufactured by Metropolitan Arms. This manufacturer capitalized on Colt's success and when Colt's factory burned down, Metropolitan Arms began making copies of Colt's revolvers. This is a replica of Colt's 1851 navy with drum scene depicting the Battle of New Orleans in 1862. Just over 6,000 were produced before production was stopped. This has serial number 2419.
Transitional smooth dark gray finish with clear stamps and largely preserved drum scene. Elements of silver plating on the varbygel. Numerical. Well functioning mechanically. Clear grooves in the barrel.
Caliber .36. Length approximately 34 cm.
