Description
Louis Gaspard Dupasquier (1800-1870), Design for a Mansion with Figures by the Fence, watercolor and pen drawing, 1827, signed, dated and inscribed 'arch.', approx. 19 x 25 cm, framed behind glass, including high-quality framing approx. 60x75cm.
The French architect Louis Dupasquier studied at l'École des beaux-arts in Lyon. In 1826 and 1827 he won the competitions to build a church in Villeurbanne and a municipal slaughterhouse in Lyon. From 1830 he taught as a professor for architectural drawing at the École de la Martinière in Lyon and was involved in the ministry with historical buildings, among other things.
PROVENANCE: Heidi Horten estate, interior of the superyacht Carinthia VII.
