Wallmark studied at Otte Sköld's painting school, Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and at the Art Academy. He undertook study trips to England, France, Tunisia, Germany and Italy. Represented at the Turku University collections, Finland, as well as the Modern Museum in Stockholm with the sculpture "Komplexiglas" from 1967. He also exhibited at Konstruktiv Tendens in Stockholm in 2006 and Skissernas Museum in Lund in 1991. Gösta Wallmark's art is still available to posterity in the public space At Karlavägen 100 in Stockholm, for example, there is his monumental artwork Yellow Wall. He also carried out the entire color coding for the Garrisonen property in Stockholm. On Gotland by the beach in Bläse stands his sculpture Port mot Havet and in the Hallonbergen subway station in Stockholm, there is decoration by Wallmark and the sculptor Elis Eriksson.
