Woodblock print, woodcut. Signed Taisho juninen Shinsui ga (spring 1923 by Shinsui). Watanabe's round publisher's seal at lower right corner. Verso handnumbered seal: Nihyaku mai kagiri zeppan, dai gojushichi ban. (Limited edition of 200, this is number 47). 43.5x27cm.
Mounted in pass-partout in its original folder.
This woodcut was the only one in the series that was cut by Shinsui himself.
PROVENANCE: Architect Axel Bergman (1877-1965), Djursholm. Acquired in Stockholm around 1930. Within the family since then.
Condition
Very good condition.
Mounted with glue at three places to upper edge of sheet on verso.
Colors exceptionally fresh and well preserved.
