Manfred Welzel (1926-2018), sculpture/figure, In the Open Door, bronze, 1981, Germany. Figure made of dark brown patinated bronze casting depicting a mother and child, looking through a gap into the open, chiselled and patinated on the surface, stamped with a foundry stamp 'Strassacker' on the front and dated and illegibly monogrammed on the back, as edition '3/10', on the inside on the floor with welded cross brace with two threaded holes for fastening, H.34cm, W.24cm, D.16cm.

Age-appropriate rubbing marks and patina in the bronze as well as slight scratches and signs of weather.
