Hall was born in 1921 and died in 2013. From 1952 he was married to the artist Lillemor Rudolf.

Hall received his education at the Essem School and Scanian Painting School in Malmö 1948–1949 and at the Kunstakademiet in Copenhagen 1951–1954. He was awarded a scholarship from the Ellen Trotzig Fund in 1945. Together with his wife and Nils-Ingwar Nilsson, he exhibited in Eslöv in 1953 and he participated in collective exhibitions with Skåne's art association and Helsingborg's art association from 1952 and Hörby's art association from 1953. Hall was an early adopter of modern art, often painting in bright, well-balanced colors. Sometimes thickly applied and sometimes thinly lasered, he painted fragments of people and landscapes.

Hall was a well-established artist with many solo exhibitions during his career. Some that can be mentioned are at Konstnärshuset in Stockholm in 1965, a number of exhibitions at Galleri Gummeson in Stockholm 1968-1979, Ystad Art Museum in 1978, Galleri Helend in Stockholm and a larger exhibition at Lund's Art Gallery in 1987. He has also participated in several group exhibitions.
