HANS LARSSON Hans Larsson (1910-1973) studied art at the Skånska målarskolan1923–1924 and the Technical Vocational School in Malmö 1927–1930, as well as another period at the Skånska målarskolan in 1931 and supplemented with self-study during study trips to Berlin, Dresden and Munich. He lived and worked in Copenhagen 1928–1937. Separately, he exhibited at Galerie Moderne in Stockholm, Malmö museum and Stenman's daughter in Stockholm. Together with Bertil Landelius, he exhibited at Gothenburg's art gallery. He participated in a large number of group and collective exhibitions, among others at Liljevalch's art gallery, Charlottenborg, Färg och Form in Stockholm, the Svartbrödraklostret in Lund and with Skåne's art association from 1933. He was considered one of the foremost Skåne colorists and painted biblically inspired art that was shown in the national association of Christian art's traveling exhibitions. In his glowing biblical motifs, influences from German Expressionism, Georges Rouault and Byzantine art can be traced. He was a member of the Danish artist group Kulingen. His art consists of still lifes, portraits, figure compositions often with biblical motifs and landscapes. Larsson is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm, the Modern Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, Malmö Museum, the Statens Museum for Art in Copenhagen, Lund University Art Museum, Helsingborg Museum, Ystad Art Museum, Landskrona Art Museum, The Cincinnati Art Museum and Tel-Aviv Art Museum.
In the auction we have 2 completely different types of paintings. An early work, a study of a woman with a child signed in 1932 and a colorful still life from 1968.
