The following lots are sold on instructions for the executors of Graham Smith (1953-2022)
His friendship with Hockney, was through a shared love of animals, especially dogs, but also through their mutual friends:
David Graves (1950-2019) Hockney’s one time assistant and paper conservator, and
Ann Graves (1941-2017) Hockney’s muse and friend.

Condition

under glass, unexamined out of glazed frame,
very slight colour loss, small crease to base of right dog’s ear, some light cockling to edges.
