Description
16x28 cm or 16.6x27 cm.
PROVENANCE: Dr. Einar Perman (1893-1976), Stockholm Auction, Stockholms Auktionsverk, 30 May 1983, No. 21759 HISTORY The motifs are possibly taken from the area around Sorunda outside Nynäshamn. A drawing by Wallander in the Nationalmuseum's hand-drawn collection taken from there, depicting a woman outside a timber-framed cabin with two beehives, shows stylistic similarities to the two drawings in question (NM 16/1888) (see fig.).
Dr. Einar Perman was Sweden's most significant collector of hand drawings. His collection of 17th century Dutch drawings was sold after his death at Christie's in Amsterdam.
