Structured by tripartite doors with glass and surrounding brass applications in the form of bats, butterflies and the openwork double happiness sign with tendril patterns. Inside three shelves with brass applications. Two drawers. Two keys available. HxWxD: approx. 167x148x41 cm PROVENANCE: Private collection of a shipping clerk at Norddeutscher Lloyd, who was employed in East Asia business in Shanghai and Yokohama until 1940.

Condition

Signs of wear, scratches, partial bumps, abrasions and traces of paint. Shelves are slightly warped. stress cracks. Two cracks and one chip with missing parts on two corners of the glass.
