
Surface marks HISTORY: Born in New York in 1922. Brought up in an artist environment, i.a. the close friends Matta, Gorky and Noguchy who were already a source of inspiration for him in his painting. After schooling at Exeter and Harvard, Osborn intended to train as an architect, but the Second World War changed his plans. After serving under General Patton in Europe, he settled on his farm in New England. After spending a couple of years in Paris, Osborn returned in 1952 to New York where he successfully arranged several exhibitions. In 1957 he returned to Europe and settled in Spain (Gaucin, for 40 years). In 1963, Osborn also began sculpting.
