Bodo Bartusch (b. 1941), before sunrise, oil on canvas, 1975, signed and dated lower left within the depiction, approx. 90 x 50 cm, with frame approx. 96x57 cm.

Bartusch comes from Neu-Reichenau and, after an apprenticeship as a typesetter, studied at the HfbK Berlin. In the 1970s he made a name for himself with his factual, realistic and often deceptive paintings.
