Dieter Framke (1935), flowers, oil on canvas, 1990, signed and dated lower left, approx. 60x 50 cm, with frame 64 x 54 cm.
Framke completed his graphic training in 1950-54 and has worked as a freelance painter and photographer since 1956. Numerous study trips have taken him to Tunisia, Venice, Apulia and Portugal, among other places. In addition to landscapes and abstract motifs, flowers and plants are among his recurring motifs.
