8th. 161 x 106 mm. (8), 66, XXVI, (4), 207; (4), 415; (12), 302, (4); (20), 364 pp. 27 mostly hand-colored engraved plates. Hand-colored woodcut vignettes in the text. Later (c:a 1870) black half-french bindings with rich gold decorated spines, red labels, marbled endpapers and exploded cuts. Parts I and II with damage in the capital. Partially stained insert. 1 board loose. Owner's signature on the title page of the first part, numbering on the third. 4 volumes.

First Danish edition. Charlotta Dorothea Biehl (1731-1784) began by translating plays for Skueplads, over time she wrote her own plays. Her Don Quixote translation is considered a classic.
