Warhol used soup bells and the whole idea of pop art is to take something quite empty and make art out of it.

At the time, Mickey became extremely popular and was supposed to be a role model for the children. He was not allowed to fight or use weapons. Even Disney himself thought that Mickey had become boring and that's when the Disney company started investing in a more easily irritated and angry Duck.
