Description
Mahogany etc./brass. Rectangular case with slanted pilaster strips on a projecting, grooved base. Richly ornamented cast applications, including cariatyds on the corners. Gable in the form of a casket with a moveable bow handle. Cut-out narrow sides lined with green textile. Brass dial with Roman and Arabic indices. Separate second. Marked on it "John Good - London". Mechanical pendulum movement with key winder, striking the hour on the bell. Plate marked "John Good - London" HxWxD: 54.5 x 36 x 22 cm.
Condition
Signs of age, board later fixed with brass brackets. Textile worn and with tears on the sides. Veneer partly slightly wavy. Applications rubbed and partially corroded. A functional guarantee is not given.
