A Collection of hymnals and other spiritual songs. Among other things: The sern pslam book. Approved by the king and ratified in 1819. Stockholm, with Olof Grahn, 1819. Lightly worn near contemporary half-French binding, initials M. L. S. on the front cover, Maria Lovisa Sternlöf's (Sternleuw) signature and the note that she received it as a gift from Joh. Aug. Carl Alex. Feilitzen 1829, M. von Feilitzen's bookplate.

Lightly worn red contemporary saffian bindings with gold decorated spines and gold embossed binding edges, the initials M. M. B. on the front covers. 2 volumes in worn marbled cardboard cassette. Maria Magdalena Bredberg (according to Carlander III, p. 253).

Tape-stitching on the first 2 leaves tape-stitched in Evangelier... The Psalm book with inscription: "Stockholm d. 3rd April 1812. I started reading in this Psalm Book. Gustafva Amalia Sophia Kolmodin".

Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), CEO and CEO of Stockholm Stadshus AB. Former CEO of a couple of companies within the city of Stockholm and for a period active in municipal politics. His impressive book collection consisted for the most part of Swedish wit from the 17th-19th centuries, but also of many other important works with an emphasis on Sweden. Ifvarsson was very interested in cultural history and was also a committed and knowledgeable collector, which was evident in his extensive library.
