Basically a Yamaha TR1 1000cc.
Built from the ground up Both wheels and Brembo yokes are from Ducati but one of the discs has been removed for looks.
The shiny crown took several weeks to make. He started from a solid piece of aluminum. It is naked, compact and frugal. Has an exquisite design that breathes retro streetfighter and cafe racer, with an emphasis on racing.
The deliciously curved exhaust system is self-made, but has its model in the Itachian construction of Fireball. The window for the clutch as well as the belly spoiler that hides the battery is John's own invention.
The Fireball was built by Christian Moretti, who runs the bike builder Plan B Motorcycles in Northern Italy. He had started from a Yamaha TR1 spice of 1,000 cubic meters and created a sensational equipment that appeared in many motorcycle magazines.
John who built this bike bought a TR1 and started with the V-twin and the frame.
He got the original drawings from Christian but he didn't understand them and he had to do this building in his own way. For 4 hours a day, it took John a full 2 years to build this Caféracer.
The fuel tank is aluminum and welded in John's garage. The seat is custom made in England. An extremely large number of parts are built and turned in John's garage.
The original is no longer available! Christian Moretti sold the bike and the new owner crashed it. Since then, nothing more has been heard about the delicious machine. So now this machine seems to be the only one rolling. It is also prettier than the Italian one.
