the ringed cylindrical nozzles on octagonal knopped stems and square stepped bases, engraved contemporary armorial arms of Boissier
by James Gould, hallmarked London 1738,
later counter struck on the nozzles,
together with a pair of associated circular removable drip pans, struck with makers mark ET and mark of an eagle’s head.
19cm overall height, bases 11.5cm maximum diameter, (2).

total weight of sconces 99g.
Condition
general polish wear commensurate with age and use, the nozzles with small edge marks and dinks, light tarnish,
one sconce with edge dent, the other with a few deeper scratches.
