Arnoldd Balwé studied at the Munich Academy and is the most important student of Carl Caspar. Balwé has been represented at the most important exhibitions since 1928, such as the New Secession in Munich and the Rheinische Sezession in Düsseldorf. He settled at the Chiemsee at a young age and repeatedly captured the light and atmosphere with strong, impasto brushstrokes and bright colors.
