Johan Fredrik Kryger (1707-1777), Swedish official and writer and strongly influenced by Herrnhutism. Natural theology is a defense of the enlightened orthodoxy and a review held in a mercantilist spirit of all the natural treasures God has enriched Sweden and its inhabitants with.
Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), CEO and CEO of Stockholm Stadshus AB. Former CEO of a couple of companies within the city of Stockholm and for a period active in municipal politics. His impressive book collection consisted for the most part of Swedish wit from the 17th-19th centuries, but also of many other important works with an emphasis on Sweden. Ifvarsson was very interested in cultural history and was also a committed and knowledgeable collector, which was evident in his extensive library.
