8th. 7 partially engraved extra title pages / frontispieces. 7 contemporary red hfrbd, partly worn, gilt spines with green title labels, top edge repairs, blue splatter cuts, last band with discordant endpapers. Partially layer stained, some moisture marks. A few pages with some marginal paper loss.
Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), CEO and CEO of Stockholm Stadshus AB. Former CEO of a couple of companies within the city of Stockholm and for a period active in municipal politics. His impressive book collection consisted for the most part of Swedish wit from the 17th-19th centuries, but also of many other important works with an emphasis on Sweden. Ifvarsson was very interested in cultural history and was also a committed and knowledgeable collector, which was evident in his extensive library.
