SEVERAL WORKS BY FRESE (3). FRESE, JACOB. Spiritual and worldly poems, written and brought together in order a(nn)o MDCCXXIV. I-II. Stockholm, Royal the printing house, 1726.
4th. (14), (1)-82; (14), (1)-174 (8) pp. Title page in red and black. Title page and several pages at the beginning damp stained, slightly stained.
Bound with: Echo, å Sweriges allmnne frögde-qwäden, expressed in his congl. May:th ... Carl the XIIth... name-day... 1715.
4th. (8), 174, (8) p. Somewhat brown stained, a few minor repairs in the margin.
Slightly worn later marbled cardboard binding.

TOGETHER WITH: FRESE. Selected writings. Ed. P. Sondén (1826, hfrbd); Provenance: Clas Ifvarsson (1941-2012), CEO and CEO of Stockholm Stadshus AB. Former CEO of a couple of companies within the city of Stockholm and for a period active in municipal politics. His impressive book collection consisted for the most part of Swedish wit from the 17th-19th centuries, but also of many other important works with an emphasis on Sweden. Ifvarsson was very interested in cultural history and was also a committed and knowledgeable collector, which was evident in his extensive library.
