Worn contemporary semi-French binding. A few paper folds and small stains. Damp stains in the inner margin and slightly into the image surface, plates VIII and IX. Gap in inner fold between pp. 188 and 189. Tear in lower margin p. 191. Damp spots p. 233 end. Library and thinning stamps and Nils C:son Bonde's ex-libris on the inside of the front cover.
