Alkhovsky comes from a family of artists and studied at the well-known academy 'I. E. Repin' in St. Petersburg, where he later worked as a lecturer. The artist has lived alternately in Hamburg and St. Petersburg since 1996 and now enjoys an international reputation. Most recently, the Kunstverein Worpswede showed the artist's work in the 'Blue House', and an exhibition in St. Petersburg is being planned.
