Dark brown burnished. Marked on the stepped plinth. "Akt.-Ges. H. Gladenbeck and son. Cast after the antique, life-size original of a ca. 100 B.C. Ch. Roman copy made of marble, found during excavations near Porto d'Anzio, Italy, early 17th century. Owned by France since 1807 and exhibited in the Louvre. H: 47.5cm.

Condition

Plinth slightly warped, dent on the surface. Heavily rubbed in places, e.g. on the right arm.
