Description
Dimensions approx. 66x54 cm Provenance: Nils Palmgren (1890-1955) and subsequently inherited by the current owner.
History: Nils Palmgren worked as an art critic, art historian with a special focus and was a doctor of philosophy. His main focus was on East Asian art, and in 1934 he made a trip to China where he focused in particular on the Sung period. Between 1936-1950 he was acting curator of the crown princess's, and later the king's, Chinese collections. He also participated in the archaeological excavations of the Peloponnesus.
