Description
Engström, Albert, Swedish writer, (1869-1940). Two handwritten letters. 1. One on lined letter paper, 18 cm. x 15 cm. , consisting of 8 handwritten lines to an unknown addressee: "Dear brother now my money is gone. If you could give me a fiver for the first one, I'd be so grateful. thankful you can't get it. I don't get any until the first one. Your friend Albert Engström." 2. Seven (7) handwritten lines on STRIX letterhead to a “Brother Reinhold...during a few days of intensive work I completely forgot Your hundred note. However, I have just called and the money will be sent from Stockholm today, whatever you can expect from them tomorrow. Excuse your friend Albert Engström." Not dated.
Albert Engström was famous for his financial problems, so serious that he even once asked a district court to declare him incompetent.
Condition
The first in good condition. It on STRIX stationery evenly brown-toned and with a closed tear in the fold on the left side.
