half filled with approximately 100 pages of hand written recipes by different hands and some later cuttings including for:

Mrs Benson's Sponge cake,
Hare soup,
An Excellent gravy soup
Cream Pancakes
Parsonage Puddings
Palestine soup, etc.etc..
Some recipes with attributed names:
American Cake, Midhurst 1848, originally from Lord Fitz William
Mrs Stonehouse's Beef Marrow Pomatum
Pommes a la Dauphine, given by Louis Phillipe to Queen Victoria 1843, etc etc...

Vellum bound and with written title on the front cover:
House-Keeper's Recipe Book 1842,

The book appears to have been adapted with the fly leaf inscribed
This Book belonged to Philip Dormer The Great Earl of Chesterfield, this sheet though possibly let-in for interest,
book 20cm x 16cmx 4cm deep.

Condition

covers slightly bowed, some marks and staining, blank pages generally clean, binding possibly later.
