Large hardbound 4th with a booklet cover (2nd booklet) as title. Printed at PA Norstedt & Söner, 1836-57. Illustrated with 60 lithographed plates of which 59 are hand-colored. Bound with Appendix, including descriptions of the fishing gear used in Scandinavia. With figures. With 3 black and white lithographs of fishing gear. IV, 222 p. + 60 lithographed plates of which 59 hand-colored + 44 p. , (II) + 3 lithographed plates.
Condition
The book is split in the binding and lacks a spine. Booklet cover loose and several plates loose. A handful of boards browned and some with stains, not hard. Some boards with edge tears without the image being touched. Considered to be the finest work on fish made in Scandinavia.
