Foil (about 340x280 mm). 55 coloured chrome lithographed plates (numbers 22 and 27 with two plates each), black and white illustrations in the text. Brown half-French bands from the 20th century with titles in gold on the backs and marbled binders. Numbered edition; text 0051 and plates 0194. 3 volumes.

The first edition was published 1836-57.

Condition

The protective paper is missing, about ten plates with damage after the protective paper stuck. Imprints from the planks on the opposite glossy side. A plansch with a small tear at the margin.
