Description
Robert Stack studied drama and made his credited film debut in 1939 in Fire and Flames. During World War II he served in the Navy and then resumed filming. From the early 1950s he was given more character roles and gained much attention for his role in Between Sky and Sea (1954). Stack was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1956 for For All the Winds. He is also known for his role as the crime fighter Elliot Ness in the TV series The Untouchables.
