The Waechtersbacher ceramics in Brachttal-Schlierbach, Hesse, near the town of Wächtersbach, which gave it its name, was founded in 1832 and has not existed as a production site since 2011. Between the end of the 19th and the middle of the 20th century, it was one of the most important German manufacturers of earthenware goods, both in terms of production volume and design quality.
