CARLISM: CRITICAL SITUATION IN TARRAGONA AND FIRE IN ESCALADEI'S MONASTERY, 1835. Letter from General Josep Maria Colubí, Governor of Tarragona, addressed to Manuel Llauder.

Dated in Tarragona on July 30th 1835, it denounces the threatening shouts "die Llauder, die Colubí" heard recently, as well as the movements of the "miquelets", led by Pep del Po. He announces the burning of Escaladei's monastery, "what a pity!", and warns of possible movements towards L'Aleixar and L'Alforja. 2 P. 20.5x15 cm.
