first half 19th century, inlaid in the manner of Boulle work, with carrying handle flanked by two removable inkwells and above a lidded compartment, the top incorporating two pen rests, above a single frieze drawer and ball feet, 15cm high, 28cm wide, 23cm deep, together with an enamelled stand, in Orientalist taste, with four vacant apertures for inkwells, 9cm high, 32cm wide, 18cm deep, and a Victorian silver plated standish, mid-19th century, of traditional form, 14cm high, 25cm wide, 18cm deep (3).
