GUSTAF HENRIK BRUSEWITZ. From Bohuslän's Konunga=Sagor. (6), 96 pp. Gothenburg, Wald. Zachrissons Boktryckeri, (1897-)1898. Folio. Hardcover ex in worn original cover. Dedication "To Herr Kammarh. and the Commander wellb. Magnus Lagerberg. Added fr. G. Brusewitz”. In addition, booklets 1 and 2 from 'Vestkustens Saga', 32 pp + pp 33-64 (more published) with the same text as in the previous one but without the title page and foreword that came with booklet 3. Separately printed covers here with dedications to the same Magnus Lagerberg, on the first booklet 'Sincerely from the author', on the second booklet 'from old friend G. Brusewitz' (who died in 1899). These booklets belong to a so-called "provisional edition" (Berthelius 671, 672), probably intended primarily as gift copies with suitable dedications. So a total of 3 booklets here.
Bohuslän's Konunga=Sagor contains both 'fairy tales' and history, mainly from the southern part of 'Viken', from Konungahella and up to Queen Margareta. Everything is consistently richly illustrated with G. Brusewitz's own art and the text is extremely readable!
