Donated in 881 by King Carol I to commemorate the elevation of Romania to a kingdom, in the center of the cross a round, dark red medallion on both sides: av. applied royal crown surrounded by a white enameled circlet with the inscription "PRIN NOI INSINE" (dt. "by ourselves") and foundation date "14. MARTIE 1881", reverse. the day of the statute "10.Maju" as well as the years 1866 - 1877 -.1881 in the circlet, yellow metal, diameter ca.40mm.
