Sylvester Johannis Phrygius, born 25 December 1572 in Kalmar, died in Gothenburg 1628. Superintendent of the Diocese of Gothenburg 1620-1628 and rector. The father is said to have been mayor of Kalmar. Source Wikipedia.

The band with faded spine and some edge wear. Label on front cover. Cover leaves stained. The insert with a handful of tape repairs in the margins. Some layer stains and from time to time so-called offsetting, i.e. impressions from opposite sides.
