Online talk

Tuesday, 21 April, 7–8 pm GMT

At the turn of the twentieth century, women artists across the Nordic countries played a vital yet often overlooked role in shaping modern art. Embracing new artistic movements, they explored identity, everyday life, symbolism and abstraction – often challenging the artistic and social conventions of their time.

In this talk, hosted by Christina Cadogan, we explore artists such as Hilma af Klint, Helene Schjerfbeck, Anna Ancher, Hanna Hirsch Pauli and Sigrid Hjertén.
