We are delighted to present the fashion collection of Kirsti Paakkanen (1929–2021) – a
selection of clothing and accessories that once belonged to one of Finland’s most colorful and successful entrepreneurs. Paakkanen’s life was a unique success story: from a modest
upbringing in Saarijärvi, she built a remarkable career, first as the founder of the advertising agency Womena and later as the visionary who rescued Marimekko from bankruptcy and developed the company into what it is today.
