Welcome to Kurage Auktion's second arms and militaria auction!
It is with great pleasure and pride that we present our major spring auction – 380 lots of antique firearms, edged weapons and militaria. Here you will find a large selection of bayonets from around the world, European edged weapons and handguns. The majority of the bayonets come from the collection of the recognised and published bayonet expert Björn Schöön. Also on offer are edged weapons from a great number of countries, and we are particularly pleased to be selling a fine m/1685 infantry sword alongside several pallasch sabres from the 18th century. Among the lots there is also a good selection of German sabres and dress daggers from the Third Reich, as well as other interesting knives such as a Swedish combat knife m/64 in its original box.
The firearms section is extensive, with handguns from Japan, the United States, Europe, Russia, England and the Ottoman Empire. Several rare and unusual American long arms are included, such as Kentucky rifles, militia muskets and breech-loading carbines in excellent condition. On the Swedish side, there is an exceptionally rare double-barrelled flintlock shotgun by the Stockholm master Johan Reichardt (1730–1806), as well as two fine pairs of cavalry pistols from the 1730s. For those with an interest in 19th century Swedish military percussion pistols, a fine selection in excellent condition is available. The auction also features a good deal of arms-historical curiosities, including heavy target rifles, Dörsch & v. Baumgartner needle-fire rifles, underhammer pistols and more.
In addition to all of this, the sale includes air weapons, uniform items, curiosities, knives and much else besides.
