Crafoord Auktioner Lund has on several previous occasions spoiled us with glass art of the very highest calibre—and now it is time again.
This time, just under 50 lots are presented. As tradition dictates, the emphasis lies on the world-renowned Swedish art glass of the 20th century. However, the auction takes its point of departure in the mesmerizing Art Nouveau works of the French master Émile Gallé. From his winding, botanical universe we move onward to thick-walled Ariel glass, through bold and playful pop glass, and finally arrive at Christian von Sydow’s graphically striking Vibrato.
