The auction invites you to browse among both well-known and yet undiscovered artistic practices, while offering you the opportunity to make your own discoveries among painting and sculpture as well as carefully designed objects of everyday use.
Female artists in Sweden and the Nordic countries have played a decisive role in shaping the region's art history, despite the fact that their contributions have long remained in the shadow of their male colleagues. Yet the works do not only speak of an indefatigable struggle for recognition in a patriarchal world – they also bear deeper witness to profoundly meaningful moments of life, from the picturesque to the untamed. To immerse oneself in women's art can thus almost be likened to gaining a glimpse behind the scenes, where the bustle of life not infrequently surpasses what is shown on stage.
