42 lots are presented under the simple name "Ceramics." These are the terms for the current theme exhibition available for viewing over the course of a week at Borås Auktionshall. The collection is dominated by works from Rörstrands Porslinsfabrik, particularly those of Gunnar Nylund. He is undoubtedly one of the most significant Swedish names in this field, with a vast output that includes both decorative pieces, perfect as gifts during the welfare state era, and large public works, of which the "Scanisarius" fountain in Bromölla is perhaps the most famous. The collection features many of his recognizable handled vases and his practical ashtrays with compartments for matches. A tall, slender vase with dark glaze by Carl-Harry Stålhane is expected to be one of the top pieces in an auction that also includes many other items.
