This story begins in 1829 in Buttenheim, Germany. That year, a tailor was born who, 18 years later, stepped off a boat in New York harbor to make a career "over there." And he did just that. In 1853, he founded Levi Strauss & Co., and the rest is international fashion history. Now, at Stockholms Auktionsverk, we are treated to a blue-jean bonanza with a theme featuring a few handpicked items from, and related to, one of the world’s most famous jean manufacturers. The dress code includes blue pants and a blue jacket, but also a tie with a matching jacket. Add to that a spade with significant symbolic value, and you have some of the gems from the Levi’s theme.
