Stockholms Auktionsverk Sickla continues its exploration of Kjell Jörstedt's artistry. This time we get 40 examples of his idiosyncratic mode of expression, one that is hard to pin down. Like a gloomier Peter Dahl? Like a social-realist Rembrandt? But Jörstedt isn't easily captured as he takes us behind closed doors, into closed circles, casting carefully balanced cones of light on situations, relationships, and events where we might least expect them.
It's hard not to be fascinated. Welcome!
