And as such, he managed the feat of developing an entirely personal style - works instantly recognizable as his own. Still lifes with meticulously arranged fruit. Landscapes with props drawn from Surrealism's repertoire of forms. The checkered floor is, of course, present. As are the pears, the grapes, and the lilies of the valley. And there's a pipe too - just as it should be, in a theme featuring the paintings of Eric Cederberg.
